While the type of bioreactor system is a critical decision in mammalian and human-cell protein bioprocessing, an even more important technical issue is the characteristics of the cell line that will ultimately be designed to produce a customer's protein of interest.  There are several factors that are important considerations in optimizing and maximizing protein yield and function.  These features include the type of promoter used; the codon sequence of the protein of interest with the best thermodynamic properties; the posttranslational glycosylation pattern; and the signal transduction pathways that increase protein yield and shuttle protein secretion.  CET has the expertise to custom optimize all of these variables for the customer.
